He loved school. When he gets up now, he follows the other sibs to the table, then to brush his teeth, and Andrew helps him get all tucked in and put his belt on... Andrew is great at helping. This week, when I've picked up Andrew and Tatiana and we've gone back to pick up Diego, they are so excited to hear about Diego's day. Yesterday, he got in the Suburbie and ripped open his back pack and started throwing papers! He was so excited. "Look! Look!" He would say.

On His Way to Colombia!
Ben will be going to Colombia tomorrow. He will return on Thursday. He is going back to Cali-Palmira area to take another local pastor to visit the Hills' Ministry. Hopefully, he will get to visit the Murray Family while there, too.

Happy Birthday, Tatiana!

Today, we had a great day celebrating Tatiana's birthday with friends and family. Tatiana turned six! We had a party at Pump-It-Up, and it was a blast! The kids had a great time!

Clean Up! Clean Up! Clean Up!
That was something the kids would sing with my mom! Tonight, we went to the church in our PJs to clean the Children's Church Room! The kids did more playing than cleaning, but that was okay with me. I was able to clean corners while they danced to a worship CD. I gotta few pics while we were there.

First Day of School
Sorry, no pictures! Today, Tatiana and Andrew went to school while Diego hung out with Ms. Chloe for the day and went to the library. Tatiana has Mrs. Young for a First Grade Teacher. Andrew has Mrs. S.S. for his Second Grade Teacher.
Ben got a request for a Parent Conference today when he picked the kids up. Andrew is just a chatterbox! Part of it is that he is really smart and some of it is lack of self control. Would love to know your ideas...
This morning when I packed the kids lunches, I included a brief note on some pretty scrapbook paper for each child. Just simple messages like, "I hope you have a great day! I love you, Mami." When I got home, I was greeted at the door by Andrew and Tatiana wanting to know why I had put a note in their lunch bags, and then read it back to me! They thought it was so special! Awe... I am gonna try to do that often this year. Seemed to have a positive response. I hope it made them smile. Will try for pics tomorrow.

Papi...
"I want to go to school. Papi, can I go? I want to go to school..." Diego is super excited about school! We have enrolled him into a Christian Academy here in Pascagoula. Ben knows the Pastor and feels confident that Diego will do well there.
Tatiana and Andrew will go to OLE for one more year before MPSD closes OLE and another school to restructure the schools and have the kids going to different schools according to their grade levels. If we stayed in this district, we would have children at three different schools next year! To me, that is just plumb crazy. I want to be involved with our children's school. Parent participation in their child's education is important in helping their child be successful. We understand that it is not the sole responsibility for the school to teach our children. Having our kids strung out all over Moss Point does limit us on how much time we can spend and be involved with each child/teacher/school. Because of that, we are considering moving out of the district...or we may be putting all the children in the private school. We really want to stay in a public school system, but we shall see what happens.

OH no!
We had a mysterious wet spot on the carpet in the living room. No one fessed up to having spilled something and the dogs weren't guilty either... What was it? We tried to dry up as much as possible, and hoped the rest would air dry. That was Thursday. Today is Saturday, and it is just as wet as before if not more! Our A/C is in the hall next to the "spot". ARgh! Looks like we'll have to replace the carpet. And possibly have the A/C serviced.
