I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!

I was feeling really good about today being "the day!" when we would get our appointment letter from USCIS. Super excited when I called Ben and he said, we DID, indeed receive it in the mail today!!! But bummed our appointment isn't until May 10th! I'm going to call tomorrow to see if we can get it done in Jackson or if we can go a bit earlier- like NEXT week?!? Praying for favor!

We still have not gotten our fingerprints to send off to the FBI. I also need to rewrite a letter to ICBF to request the change of lists. I will work on that this week.

Church & Fun with the L Family - April 2011

We love running into little Colombians and if they are part of an adoptive family that makes it even more special! We have had the opportunity to meet some pretty spectacular families. The L Family is a CHI Family that lives about 3 hours away from us.

Waiting with Expectations.

Okay...so looking at the last post. USCIS received our info on 3/30! It's 4/17 today. No Biometrics appointment? Hello! What happened? I wait for that blessed little paper with the appointment time... I wait, I hope, and I expect it to be in my mailbox one day next week! Yeah, Monday would be a good day, but I'll take Tuesday or Wednesday, if not Thursday or Friday... but please NEXT WEEK! I wanna get on with this already!

USCIS Receipt

Received notice today that USCIS received our updated paperwork on 3/30/11. Guess now we wait for another appointment with biometrics?

Sent taxes off, hope to get refund to put more money on adoption and a few bills. This will be last year we will get anything from taxes as it has changed to a refund. We have enjoyed the extra cash at the new year. This year it seems more purposeful and needed, though.

We still haven't got our fingerprints to renew FBI prints. Need to do that next week. It's been crazy busy at work. Not sure if they will be processed by FBI anytime soon, if the government shuts down! Oy! Last I heard, FBI was taking about 2 months to process... is that true, anyone know?

Will begin to work on a new letter for ICBF to request change of lists.

And that's about it on the adoption front... I think.
