Our FOURTH GRADER!

It's hard to believe he's in FOURTH grade already!!! There are some days that I want them to stay babies forever.... and well, there are OTHER days! LOL.

These are pictures of Andrew reading. He does NOT like to read. What do you or have you done to inspire your children to read? Tatiana can get lost in a book, but the boys... they are a different story!

Have a beautiful day!

Magazines! Anything they are interested in cars... animals... what ever that is appropriate. Often nonfiction also appeals more to boys. Good luck.

Can't believe he's a fourth grader already!! Nataly isn't too much of a reader...it took a couple of years before she'd read at all. Now she loves the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series & just finished The Little Princess. It has to be high interest for her.

Brian is the same way! Last year sitting down to do his 30 minutes of required reading time per night was a constant struggle. Like they said above if its something he's interested in he will read it. He likes autobiographies of his favorite people (Tony Hawk, Albert Pujols, etc). This year he will be in a all boy classroom and to encourage reading they pick more "boy" books.
