And I am surprised to see that New Beginnings will cut a $100 from the $700 Home Study Update charge if you have already completed Hague accredited training! Yeah! We had to have that the first go round! Did not have to do additional training! So, the cost will just be $600. I've been making payments to our adoption savings account all along, but also been tucking some money aside hoping to one day go to Disney... well, I'd rather have our daughter united with her family than money just sitting in the bank for that "one day"... and we're in a kindof time crunch here. We have to have this update completed and submitted to the USCIS office in April.
We are considering increasing the age to a child up to 7 years. Diego will be 7 in October; so before she gets here according to the wait times (6-12 months), he will have turned seven. Plus, we'd still have time to transition from Ben working at the church to just working at the school and even him getting back into college... with adoption however, you can't really make plans, because it can change at any moment!
Anyways, we hope to schedule our home meeting sometime next week. Next big thing is getting our HIV/RPR tests re-done with the health clinic!
