Update!

Just got in from a quick visit with my Mother, Grandparents, and... Niece and Nephew! Thrilled to see them. It has been quite some time; probably over a year since I've seen them. I was sad that Ainsley didn't know who we were. Breaks my heart. "I'm your Ninnie! You're one and only Ninnie!" We had a great time visiting with them. Shanda's birthday was also July 4th. That stunk that she wasn't able to be here with us. She would have been 36, yesterday. Life goes by way too fast. Embrace it. Live it! Fight for what you believe in! Dream BIG dreams! Make a Difference! You have one life...and each of us have an appointed time to meet our Maker... so, get right, and do right! =)

So, what's been going on... not a thang, and everythang! (Southern-style!) We are playing the waiting game for our dossier to be approved by the Colombian government. We need to have our FBI fingerprints updated. Then, just save and raise more money for the remaining costs of our post-placement reports, in-country fees & travel expenses.

Speaking of which... got an email today that our t-shirts were ready! Yay! Hopefully, I can pick them up tomorrow and post a pic soon! Another fundraiser we have in mind is a Colombian Adoption Calendar. This is a 2011 calendar featuring other families who have completed Colombian Adoptions. I will post more info on it when they are ready to ship!

Other upcoming news: CHI REUNION!!! We get to go this year! Super-excited! We get to meet the woman who walked us through our first adoption after we received our referral! Yay, Julie Eagleson! She is definitely an instrument used by God and has a super huge heart for adoption! AND... we get to meet up with so MANY other ADOPTIVE FAMILIES FROM ALL OVER... many who I refer to as my bloggin' sistas! Can't wait to see them all! Oh, what fun!
