Nana & Papaw June 2010

The girls went shopping and we all got fabulous raincoats at ridiculously cheap prices! Mine was a DKNY at retail for $244 got it for $15!!! Nana got hers at $35 and it was regularly priced over $300! Tatiana's fabulous polka dot jacket with a hood, lined in pink was only $7!!! While the girls went to Hudson's Treasure Hunt, the boys went to McDonald's and Walmart. Papaw treated them to ice cream cones!

Nana and Papaw have came to visit and have helped out tremendously with the children! They have enjoyed visiting with their grandparents, and I've loved Nana's yummy Taco Soup! Not to mention, we were delightfully surprised by my Aunt Virginia's Homemade Bread (Can eat the whole loaf!), and thousands of dollars worth of homeschooling materials, including brand new things like Hooked on Phonics! Manipulatives to use with Math, Reading, Language, and Math Series brand new!, several other workbooks, AND Math games for the computer, and a Spanish learning computer program!!! These items were donated or given to us by my cousin whom I have blogged about previously.

Resources for KG to 8th Grade! Thanks, Jack Jr.!

Jack, Jr. adopted a child from Romania. It was he that planted the first seed of adoption when I was a young child and saw his parents gloat over their new beautiful grandbaby! Anyways, who would have ever thought, he would continue to be planting seeds into our lives! The generosity is amazing! We are blessed! I can't wait to start getting into it! The material is stuff we can use now, and stuff for later that include algebra and upper vocab! And the challenge I have for now... where do I put it all? I must organize before Ben gets back!

wow! all those homeschooling materials are awesome! are you planning on homeschooling? I'm just finishing year 1 with my kiddos and it has been great! But I use all sorts of creativity to find our homeschool materials used and at discounted prices...and sell stuff we no longer need to make money for future materials. So the gift you got of K-8 materials is WONDERFUL!
