Yeah, God!

Ok, so our MS State Income Tax should be here in about 14 days! Someone from the IRS called asking about the adoption. The person spoke w/ Ben and said that we could not claim the adoption credit and dependents. When Ben told them the adoption was in 2007, they questioned why we waited until now, and didn't file that credit last year. Ben reminded them of the "law" that MS has put in place stating they have to be residents of the state 1 yr before we qualify. "You're right!" she says.

That was it! That was the hold up. Praise God!

So, since it's just our family going and the others intending on going weren't able to make it depending on ticket prices and passports, we will either go as scheduled or postpone until the middle of June. I will keep you posted! I would love to be in Colombia on our second Gotcha Day!

Passport Issue: When I went to the post office to turn in the applications, I took the Certificates of Citizenship, Birth Certificates, and Adoption Decree. The postal officer said we did not need anything but the birth certificates. Well, that has delayed us. Saturday, we sent in that information & expedited it by mail. Hopefully, we will get their passports by the end of this week or next! And Yes, God! Thanks for your provision.

That's CRAZY about being residents for one year. Politics.

We've been looking at Spirit airlines and might be going to Cartagena in the near future.
