No Pelegras!
I think that's "no fighting" in Spanish. Andrew has hit someone at school today, and was sent to the Principal's office. We have tried to tell him "Hands are for helping, not for hurting." This is the third time this year he has hit a student. What is going on with him?? Tonight, he wrote many, many lines...he will also go to detention at school when they return from the holidays. Any other suggestions you might would like to share? Tatiana is a jewel in school, and we haven't had any problems. I think we may be surprised, too, when Diego goes to school. He will actually begin speech classes one day a week when the children return to school from the holidays, also. I can't wait! He will love it! He already calls Mr. Brown, "his teacher."

I sure can't offer up my thoughts on why Andrew might be acting up and hitting others, but I can say I go through much of the same. I know Fabian and Karen are guilty of this type behavior from time to time. In fact, they both sit at the table right now writing their sentences for acting out yesterday. I must admit, their penmanship shows great improvement! LOL.
I love the "Wood Photography" watermark! I'll bet that has to be one of those warm, fuzzy moments when you look at that watermark, since that's long been a passion for you, Wendi! What adorable little subjects to photo!!!
I'm with Genece - I don't know why they do it or how to stop it, but if it's any comfort ours do a fair amount of hitting each other. Not sure if they've been hitting other kids (at least no one that I know of yet, but they're not in public school, so don't have as much opportunity). Maicol sometimes does it just to prove he's the biggest and in charge and I think Juan and Andrew do it mostly out of frustration. When I get the magic formula to stop it, I'll let you know!
WOW, what a rude comment! Do you say give such "wonderful" advise to biological parents who struggle from time to time to raise more kids than they "should" have had? That's pretty rough to write on somone's public blog.
