Just some FYI for parents with kids in K-12 school or homeschooled children:
There is a few stores on the Internet that give discounts to students, teachers, and parents for things like computer software, teaching tools, electronics, dvds, cds, bags, backpacks, etc.
www.academicsuperstore.com
www.journeyed.com
I just ordered the latest Adobe CS-4 Extended (Photoshop + more programs) from the Academic Superstore. It is the student version. Not certain what that might mean except the "licensing"; it looks like I have the same version, of course, it is very advanced for me, so I may not even know what I would be missing! But thus far, I have found one of the most important tools: the one that whitens the teeth! Oh yeah! Plus, I saved over $700!!!
They will ask for proof that your child is in school and you will have to provide either a copy of report card, copy of registration, or copy of receipt for school curriculum (if homeschools). It was really easy. So, before you buy computer software, check out these sites and see if you can save some money! (I sent in proof that Andrew was in school this past Friday, and got the program yesterday!)
