Our First Soccer Games!

I love it! I had so much fun watching Tatiana's game today! The kids are so hilarious! What did someone blow a whistle? They didn't care after they figured out how to kick the ball and which goal they were aiming for! They were so cute! The only bummer was that I wasn't able to see Andrew make his first goal! Their games were scheduled the same time and they were in the same vicinity but probably a football field away from each other! Ben said he did good and ran very fast! They love it! We are trying to figure out how can we keep them in it and get Diego involved next year! Wow! That might get a little complicated!

Here are a few fun pics from the games:

Ben was in charge of taking pics of Andrew's team. We will think of a different plan if they have their games at the same time again.

Andrew is there in the middle! Guess what? He's not the smallest one on the team! There was a mishap with a team member's birthday, and their is actually a 4-year-old on his team! Ben said she picked up the ball and ran to the goal and kicked it in! Then gave her Dad a "thumbs up!" This particular player is also a child adopted from Guatemala, and I had a part in praying her home! Neat! She is a cutie!

Tatiana started the game off! She was the first one to kick off! In the beginning, she was supposed to shake hands of the little boys; it was funny! The coaches and referee had to put her hand in theirs! Look at her with her hands on her hips! Like, "Let's get this thing started!" ...and as if she knows what she's doing!

Can you find Tatiana? This is her coach and the referee with her team. Aren't they all little cuties?

Diego sat with me and watched Tatiana's game! It was difficult for him to sit still. Next time, I will bring his color book, maybe. Brought bubbles today, but those ended up all over his shirt.

The next game is October 18th!

Hi Wendi,

What cute pictures. Brian plays on 2 soccer teams and Angelica wants so badly to play. Maybe Diego could be like Angelica - she is the "unofficial" team mascot. She hangs out on the sidelines with the boys, she hands them their drinks (well, a drink), and the boys kick the ball to her while their waiting. His coach is great about it and the boys ADORE her. Also, we get to watch the games in peace. Angelica LOVES soccer she closes all the doors and kicks the ball in the hallway. SO CUTE. She can play outdoor next Spring and the indoor team has decided to take her in Nov. Her uniform is pink..how cute is that?

This reminded me of my June and July with 3 kids in soccer, and toting Luis to all the games and practices scattered about. Somehow I managed it all by myself but it took some creative planning, and I'm so fortunate that my older two are responsible enough to leave under their coaches care long enough to transport the younger one to and fro. Good luck. It helps when their games are within sight of each other, even if it is a football field's length away. I was stressing at times driving 15 minutes back and forth from playing fields and practice fields. They all had wonderful coaches which helped out so very much and lessened the stressload!

Andrew and Tatiana look absolutely adorable in their uniforms! Have fun!

HI!!!
I just read comments on Laura's blog that it's Diego's birthday today so I wanted to wish the little fellow a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Wow, where does the time go? Its hard to believe how much all these babies have grown, don't you agree?

Have a great day! I'm back in AK by myself handling the last bit of work here, so every once in a while I jump online for my blog fix. I don't have internet at the new place so it's been rough, but we all love the warmth and love experiencing the joy in our new beginnings! Life's good! Sure not gonna miss that cold weather lifestyle... Going from the high 80s temps to the low 20s is harsh, for sure!
