Pictures the first few days in Florencia' Colombia
June 4, 2007 - June 15, 2007
I had several pictures on my computer, but Ben put them on a disk to free up some space. These are the few I found from Florencia'.
Day One when we first met the children! The SW and ICBF were very nice!
The first day, as soon as we got to the hotel we changed into shorts! And if you notice the crayons--well, they didn't stay in the box for long! For those who may travel- take extra boxes!!
The bubbles- this is what broke the ice with Tatiana! She was a little guarded, but we won her over! They were all fascinated by the bubbles! Tatiana talks about it still; "Mami, bubbles in Colombia, yea?!" Cute! Thanks Julie for the tips to take the bubbles!!
One of the first dresses we had bought Tatiana. She didn't get to wear it much after we got home. She has really grown taller!
Poor Diego! He got singled out a lot. He played well individually with one sibling, but it was difficult for them to all get along at one time...Andrew told us thru the interpreter that Diego did not live with them and only came for play dates. I can say that Tatiana is easy and gets along well with each of them. She does have more challenges getting along with other girls. I think she likes to be the "princess" in the crowd. She sometimes cops an attitude around girls in Sunday School or when her cousin close in age is around...we're working on how a princess is supposed to act! :)Diego, he is such a character! Full of surprises!
Pictures that were sent with the "Official Referral"

Ben and Wendi,
We still can not believe that it has been a year, time sure flies. We know you all have enjoyed them, because we have enjoyed having them around us at church. Andrew is so cute looking and is going to be very smart along with Tatiana and Diego. Tatiana is a very beautiful girl, you are really going to have to watch the boys as she grows into a beautiful young lady. And what can we say about Diego, he is such a "Ham". Hope you all have many more happy years together. We know you will! We Love you all.
Love,
Therman and Tammy
Wow, it is so cool to see all those pictures and how they've grown!
Oh, and bubbles were our saving grace, too! Juancho was crying when he first came in, but soon stopped after we started blowing bubbles . . . all the kids loved them!
What a precious family and amazing testament of God's faithfulness and love! Thanks for sharing!!
