Gotcha Day!

(I got a Cookie Cake and took the idea from the Armstrongs' how to decorate it. You can tell I'm not the greatest cake decorator! It still tasted good though!)

Today, this morning we started out at the breakfast table, just me and the boys. I told them today was a very special day. We call today "Gotcha Day!" because this was the day we became a family...I got you, and you got me!

As I was making their breakfast, I repeated that a few times..."I got you, and you got me!" And then when I was serving them their plates, Andrew said, "I got Mami; I got Papi; I got Beamie; I got Tia Shanda..." and he went on and on! I said, "Yes, You got Us!" He got it! This made my heart smile!

This day marks our first year together as a family. I can't believe time has flown by so quickly. We have experienced quite a bit in the past 365 days! It has been an amazing adventure...and I absolutely love Mamihood! We have been so blessed with these beautiful treasures. God is so good!

Congratulations on your first year together as a family. I love that you put them back in the clothes they wore that day! What a great idea. :)

Congrats! I love how you say "I got you and you got me!" That's so sweet and seems like it would be easy for the kids to understand.

What a wonderful day to celebrate! One year together has to seem to have gone fast in some ways and slow in others. Nevertheless, I'm sure every day is marked by wonderful hugs and kisses! CONGRATULATIONS FAMILIA WOOD!
