The Disney Store!

Today, we took Beamie to the Outlet Mall to buy her a new outfit for her birthday! Since she has stayed with us, she has lost over 60 pounds! So, she is desperately needing an updated wardrobe! However, we went to a couple of different shops, and she found some pants that looked really good on her, but would not spend $40 for them! It kindof frustrated me...she is so worth it! Argh! She left the stores saying she could spend the money on patterns to make those clothes! It was fun to see her excited about getting into smaller sizes! We have so appreciated my mother being here and all the help with the kids!

Well, while she was at one shop, we went to a few children's clothing stores. One of those stops was at Disney! It was our lucky day! We found an awesome sale! We got some things for the kids, but also some cool presents for our cousins! I bought Ainsley this awesome purple butterfly jacket. I can't wait to give it to her! She is so much like Shanda, and really looks like her too! I wish I could spend more time with she and Kaleb. We miss them terribly! We also got Grace, my brother's daughter a cool princess gown or play dress! And got a tee for Ben's niece, Arianah!

Well, here are some shots of some of the fun things we got, and let me say, we got some GREAT deals!!!

The cool TinkerBell gown!

You can sure tell by the expressions on the kids faces they were very pleased with their shopping spree! Don't you just love it when you run across such excellent bargains capable of producing outcomes as great as those on their proud little faces?!! Excellent work! They are just precious, Wendi and Ben.

I cannot believe how much they have grown -- physically, spiritually, and mature-wise. But why not with all of the love and guidance you surround them with, right? Keep up the good work!

Love, Genece

I just read through your past few posts! What wonderful memories and pictures. I can't believe how your children have changed! Congrats on your first year of being a family and here's to a wonderful second year!

To answer your question on my blog, we had an awesome process in Guatemala - just about six months to the day total- but Guat is now closed to adoptions, other than finishing up in process cases. It's possible that it may re-open in the future (some say 2009), but no one knows for sure. If you think of it, please pray for all the children who do not have homes and are not able to find forever families since the program is closed. The gov't can't support any orphanages or foster homes, so it is a dire situation right now.
