the rat race continues...

do you ever feel like the hamster that races senselessly in the wheel, running and going nowhere...all the while life is spinning away...i woke up with that thought this morning...ah, Monday, again! and the rat race continues! work and school--there's no fun in that! i wanna stay at home with the kids; they are growing so fast...i feel like we race around doing so many of the important-"you have to do" things and then the weekend gets here and its gone before you have time to jump off the wheel!

i did find the time to put in some bike miles, but i don't think im gonna hit that 60-Mile Mark this month. i may try for it again next month...i did finish reading my book and have really been reminded of some good tips on how to prioritize my time with god while chasing kids and housecleaning...i will share more of those in the next posts with you guys... i also was able to download some pics of yesterday and have sent them to be developed at walmart. i increased the contrast making the pics more black and white...i should have gotten the elements program at staples instead of getting the cheap photo program when i had the money...just $80; but that is a lot when you think in terms of groceries, ey? ha! or laundry detergent!

Anyways, they turned out pretty cool, I thought. I cut and pasted them into the blog, and was able to see them from home. i came to work today and the pics won't come up! im bummed about that, because i wanted to show them off to my co-worker...been trying to get her to let me practice taking pics on her son (senior)...not sure if that is happening to everyone else or if it is because the pics were saved from walmart and work is just not letting me access it. let me know if you are also having trouble viewing. i can try to save them, and then post, maybe?

got some tips from laura speake...who left a comment on the previous "black and white" post. she is a professional photographer! how cool is that? im thinking awesome...sure would like to be mentored...maybe this could be my side job that would allow me to be a stay at home mami...this is what my sister always wanted, too...BUT...laura, who are you? are you an adoptive mami? i found your website...and saw you went to Colombia as well....how did you happen across my blog? are you with CHI or a family connected to CHI? i think it's cool how this whole www thing works...anyways, this lady is from georgia...so jacqueline you may wanna check out her links. i can fwd them to you by email! another long post; now more dishes, more laundry, more cleaning...as the wheel spins...

Your photos turned out awesome!! Looking forward to your post about prioritizing....something I need to do as I seem to forget about spending time with God at times.

I didn't even make it halfway to my "mile" mark. Start fresh tomorrow, right? I am also dealing with how to prioritize my time...God, kids, cleaning...

:) I did find you though another website. I love reading through all the blogs (maybe Jacqueline's). Have been trying to meet up with her and her husband for Colombian food or something but its hard since they live about an hour away from us. We did not use CHI, went with a local agency here in Atlanta. My husband is from Colombia and we have lots of family down there and go visit about every 12-18 months. My email is lauraspeake at gmail dot come if you want to get in touch directly.
