Yesterday, we celebrated Andrew's birthday-just the five of us! Andrew woke and his first surprise was a soccer watch. He is learning to tell time at school! Ben and I went to work and Ben presented him with another cool surprise--this neat car that does weird stuff on its' own! For our third surprise, we took the whole family to play goofy golf! This was our first time, and it was really fun. The kids had a great time...Andrew was pretty good, too! Tatiana had difficulty holding the club...and Diego was so funny as he chased the ball to the hole! Our last surprise last night was a nice family dinner at The Olive Garden, where the kids enjoyed cheese pizza and ice cream sundaes!
We then went to Target and picked up some presents for Andrew. I carted Tatiana and Diego around the toy aisles while Ben took Andrew took pick out candy for the "goodie" bags for today's party! We picked out some cool board games that they could all play including Candy Land, Ants in My Pants, and Hi-O Cherry-O! These games were ONLY $4! I thought what a deal! Then, Tatiana picked out a cool ring toss that we could play around here inside-outside the house, and would be cool for our next adventure at the beach!
What's really cool about this picture is that Ben and I posed solo on this same Tom and Jerry motorcycle before we met our children and I scrapbooked pictures of us on these and sent them to Colombia when the social workers were introducing us to the children by using a collection of scrapbook-photo pages! When we entered the room yesterday, Tatiana pointed at it immediately and said, "Mami!" As if she remembered! There were lots of other cool things she could have pointed to, so I really think she remembered that was familiar to her...anyways, before we left we had to take a pic!
