About two out of every three roses purchased originates in Colombia, and 90 percent of all Colombian flowers are sold in the U.S. ?

The flower industry generates over a billion dollars in export revenue annually. It's big business, but it comes at a price. That price is that almost 80,000 women from rural Colombia are working for less than 50 cents an hour to pluck those beautiful bouquets.
