Jesus bless you!

God bless you! Loving it...Andrew has been saying "Jesus bless you" when he hears one of us sneeze around the house. Ben says he likes that better than "God bless you!" Seems more personal... the children continue to pray for one another's owies with the laying on of hands... every book is a "Bible" to them...other than their children's reading books. We have begin teaching them books of the New Testament. It is fun...and I am learning more on how to pray for the children with a book by Stormie Omartian called the Power of a Praying Parent!

Well, hoping those in the bloggin' world and other family and friends are having a great start to a brand new year! Be blessed!

Jenn said...: Great book! Bill bought it for me as a gift and we read it together at night after the kids went to bed - a little "us time". I wonder where it is now? I'll have to find it...

We've been reading a book called "The Big Idea" which is about a church in the mid-west who narrowed their focus to one main thing..one big idea that everything was planned around and motivated around. The author called himself a Christ-follower instead of a Christian because he said it made it more personal and was a call to action to living a Christian life instead of just saying the words "I'm a Christian". Thought that was interesting and it definitely makes you think about what you're saying when you say it to yourself.."I'm a Christ-follower"...I follow Jesus' teaching, example and believe in his sacrifice.
