Today(October 11th-dated post), the boys went to the outpatient surgery center in pajamas bright and early this morning to be circumcised. We did our best to explain to the boys ahead of time what was going to happen. The staff was very nice and good with the boys. I did make sure we were in the recovery room as each of them were rolled in and we could be there when they awoke. Diego was kindof groggy when he awoke. Andrew did better, and tried to reaffirm Diego that it was "okay." The boys like the new look. They haven't had too much difficulty thus far. Andrew has thrown up once. Diego has no problem holding food. Andrew wants to go outside and play. (I think that is the drugs!) The doctor said that would
(The nurse that was doing the aftercare actually shared her adoption story. She had adopted two children in foster care. She was interested in participating in the concert benefit we are having for Children's Hope on National Adoption Day in Pascagoula!)
They both have "chi-chi'd." Andrew has thrown up once; Diego no problem holding down food. We took a long nap after getting home, and now they are watching Leap frog alphabet videos. The doctor expects they will bounce back quickly!Just wanted to thank all of you who have been praying for us today! It wasn't so bad. The boys did great. Please continue to pray that swelling and pain be minimum with a quick recovery. Thanks so much!
