Orphan Soul, a well-known, local band, will be having a benefit concert on November 17, 2007 at Church on the Rock in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The concert starts at 7 pm! The tickets are only $5, and a love offering will be collected. All benefits/proceeds go directly to Children's Hope International to go toward surgeries for orphans who need cleft palatte and heart surgeries!

Statistics say, right now there are over 145 million orphans in the world...and by 2010, it estimated that it will more than double!
Check out some of these other alarming statistics:
- At least 16.2 million children of the world have been orphaned by both parents.
- More than 800,000 children pass through the American foster care system each year. Over 20,000 teenagers age out of the system each year...
- Ony 4 percent of families in the US (1.7 million families) contain adopted children.
- On average, children waiting for adoption have been in foster care for 48.3 months, over 4 years!
What can YOU do concerning this rising crisis? Not all are called to adopt, but there are ways for you to get involved in caring for the orphaned child...thru mentoring programs, sponsoring an orphan, as well as helping a prospective adoptive family through financial means...Consider adoption today! Consider the impact YOU can have on the next generation...
