Two Green Smileys

Yippee! Today is the 9th day of school for Andrew, and he got two green smileys!!!

We are so proud of him....last week, his behavior log read something like "Will not stand in line," the next day it stated, "He stayed in line, but would not stay in his seat;" and then on Friday, it read, "Hyper!"--with two red faces! (Red is not the worst; it means he could do better.) So, we are super thrilled today!!! 2 Green Smileys...we want those everyday!

His English vocabulary is growing quickly. He remembers family names and can identify his classmates. He continues to parent his siblings. We continue reassuring him that that is our role now, and we want him to learn to just be a kid, and let us handle the discipline and consequences.

The boys are all growing and gaining weight. This past Sunday, when I was helping dress them we had to adjusts the waist size. This is a good thing, really, because they were so underweight. I think they are at about average weight now. Andrew is 39 lbs at 5 yrs; Tatiana is 32 lbs at 4 yrs; and Diego, who loves to eat is about 29 lbs at 34 months! We watched the video we made while in Colombia and we were able to really tell the difference. Diego has lost a lot of the baby hair. And his face is elongating more, it appears, or maybe it's thinning out? Anyways, they are just as beautiful...and I love them "Mucho!"
