This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

"See, I will beckon to the Gentiles. I will lift up my banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders. Kings, will be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down before you with their faces to the ground; they will lick the dust at your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in me will not be disappointed.
Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives be rescued from the fierce?"
But this is what the Lord says; "Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children will I save. I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob." -Isaiah 40.22-26

I was reading this scripture tonight and it spoke several different things to me. Ben has been meditating on Isaiah 49 since December, we have seen some of the prophecy unfold within our church setting. Tonight, reading it gave me a sense of peace. Knowing that believing in God to show up and show out and that He will work out the good in things, and I will not be disappointed because of my hope in Him. It is nice to know also, that those who contend with me, contend with the Lord. That's gotta make any believer feel good, knowing who's "got their back!" So many times we try to fight our own battles, and become discouraged.

I am so blessed and thank the Father for all he has given me and my family...thank you all who have imparted nuggets of wisdom and truth, and love and encouragement to me and mine thru this journey as well as throughout my life thus far. It has been so neat to see how God has used different people around me and scripted them into my life story. I am blown away at all the trouble God goes through to get my attention, to show me love, give me encouragement, or to speak a word to me. Thank you, Father. Please, remind me to slow down in the midst of the loud clamor to listen for Your whisper!

Thanks again for sharing this moment with me! God bless you all tonight!
