Jesus Take the Wheel...

Carrie Underwood´s song Jesus Take the Wheel rang thru my mind as we hit turbulence in the flights to Colombia...but all in all, it wasn´t too bad; I think Ben´s nerves were actually worse than mine! We had a flight delay over 2 hours and put us in Bogota right before midnight...

On Saturday, we awoke in the hotel, Refugio, and met two other Christian CHI families! It was an awesome opportunity to share stories...one family had also adopted a sibling group of three and was able to share some helpful tips and insights to things we had to look forward too...

On Sunday, we flew to Florencia. It was nothing like I expected. I was expecting the worst...I was expecting to be scared...I really did not feel fearful at all...I was not intimidated by the soldiers, the surroundings or anything...I believe I had the peace of God, and maybe he hid my eyes from the things that may have been more dangerous and would have frightened me...

We met our lawyer and interpreter who were great throughout the whole process...
