Our stay in Bogota was short...only about 5 days! We flew home on June 19th, stopping first in Atlanta, GA. The plane ride to Atlanta was challenging as Andrew didn't like to sit still for such a lengthy journey...he started crawling under the seats...not funny! We made it....
Tatiana and Andrew sat with me as Diego again, was asleep in Papi's arms! I remember holding the hands of each of the children next to me as we touched American soil...ah...these are my babies...haha, thank you, God... These little hands are going to be history makers!
The Consulate had told us that once the children step on American soil they will be US Citizens!
Getting off the plane from Bogota to Atlanta we thought we would only have a 1.5 hour layover, and after running to rush thru Customs and drop off our Baggage; we waited another 3 hours for our flight to Mobile, AL... due to bad weather and mechanical problems. (BTW, we were very disappointed with the customer service given by Delta employees in Atlanta. We didn't meet any rude people, until we flew back into the States; how very sad and disappointed were we...Some Delta guy was yelling at me to "Drop 'em & go!"--referring to our luggage...obviously, he had never carried a baby, pushed a stroller, and luggage at the same time! HUMPH!)
